I fought the law, and the law won

So I've managed to archive all my LJ posts to DW (holy shit I'm getting close to the 2,000 mark, I waffle waaaaay too much!), now I'm testing the crosspost feature.

So since this is the internets, have 300 photos of my cats! Last night they stole my chair and wouldn't give it back )

My mouth tastes of poor choices

As much as I would have enjoyed a sleep-in this morning after such a big week, instead I hauled myself out of bed early to hit a charity fair with [livejournal.com profile] sewaddicted. But it was worth it because there was fabriiiiiic.

New toys )

Also picked up some super-cheap notions, including fur hooks, skirt/ trouser hook&bars and a huge bag of snaps for $5.

Then, since we were out, we also went to Spotlight where I found way too many shiny things.

Hello pretty! )

I've also managed to do some sewing last night/ this afternoon. I have more assignments to do but I thought I deserved a little break, and I've had so many sewing ideas floating around when I haven't been able to act on them.

Ta da! )

Now to go play with some of my new fabric. Hooray! Assignments can wait until tomorrow.

ETA: I can has Dreamwidth thanks to [livejournal.com profile] maggiebloome. My username over there is lemon_curry so please add me (that's also my FB account if anyone wants to find me there too). Still have no idea how to use DW, and I probably won't be posting there much as yet as LJ is still my home, but it's nice to have a back-up plan.

'Humph', said the camel

Too early. Cooooooold. Do not want.

So once I had finished up my essay, turned off all the lights, locked the doors etc it was about 2am. Went to bed and was just getting comfy when I had an epiphany about my essay title and I couldn't find a pen so I had to get up to write it down. Snuggled back into my warm and cosy bed... only to be struck by an awesome plot bunny *whimpers* I haven't had a decent plot bunny, or any real sort of urge to write at all in AGES. And I almost got up and started writing, but I wanted as much of that 4h sleep as I could scrape together... waahhhh, woe is me. Figers crossed it's still hanging around and maybe I can get it down this afternoon.

He'll get his lawyer to come up from the city and arrest you mister

I think I'm done. It really should be longer but I have nothing left to say. I just want to go to bed. Very strange, this essay has elicited almost no stress response in me at all (unlike the Report of Doom). I can't seem to bring myself to care that it's too short or that I went to trivia last night instead of working on it. Meh.

I'm stuck choosing between Smash attacking the pages as they come out of the printer, or attacking my keyboard as I type and eating my fingers in the process. Hard choice.

And it turns out it was PMS, a week early. No wonder I've been feeling like shit.

My desk is completely covered in print-outs of journal articles that have been attacked with red Bic or orange highlighter. The cats have been taking turns making nests out of them.

Meme time!

Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.

Asked by [livejournal.com profile] athousanderrors:

european swallows: From Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it’s a running joke through the whole movie.

dead crabs, whizzo butter: These are two separate interests but they come from the same Monty Python sketch. Ever seen those stupid adverts where a reporter hits the street for on the spot interviews about a product? Well, apparently 9/10 British housewives cannot tell the difference between Whizzo Butter and this dead crab! It’s true (surrounding mob of housewives agree loudly)
Housewife: Hey, aren’t you that man from the television!
Reporter: Oh, yes, yes I am (looks pleased)
Housewife: You’re that horrid little man that gets those stupid women who can’t tell the difference between Whizzo Butter and a dead crab!
Mob of Housewives: Yes, so he is!
Houswife: Well if you every try that around here young man, I’ll slit your face!
Mob of housewives: Yes, yes, so we will, we’re not stupid like that.

water: I love water and I drink a lot of it. But I especially love moving water- creeks, waterfalls, the ocean... I love the sound, the serenity and wildness of it.

pointy things: Knives, swords, pitchforks... pointy things are fun. This is also a reference to Buffy and her ‘pet’ stake Mr Pointy

post-its: If you can’t have fun with post-its you’re a very boring person. They come in funky colours and have a million and three uses. Remind yourself to buy milk, mark a favourite passage in a book, inspirational quotes to stick on your wall, passive-aggressive notes for your housemates or a practical joke.

prolonging the magic: The third album by Cake, one of my all-time favourite bands. The first was Motorcade of Generosity in 1993, then Fashion Nugget, then Prolonging The Magic, then Comfort Eagle, and Pressure Chief in 2004. They released ‘B Sides and Rarities’ in 2007 which I don’t have a copy of yet, and they’re planning a live album and a studio album to be released this year. Every time I get excited about a new release from them someone is always surprised because they thought they broke up years ago. They’re based in Sacramento, California and still going strong after 15+ years. Great alternate-rock sound that has slowly mellowed with each consecutive album, very easy listening but wonderful lyrics and John McCrea has a fabulously interesting voice.

Oh lord above, send down a dove, with beaks as sharp as razors

An epic weekend indeed. Anzac Day Anarchy was fun, although once again it was even quiter than last year. We're all getting old. Adam and Jess rode the 38km from here to Shelly Beach, Jake and I drove down and met them *L* [livejournal.com profile] jb_rulztheworld, Tracy, Robbie and Sandy were already there and for the first time in at least 5 years we had a beautiful day to enjoy in the park. Although nice weather also meant loads of people so we didn't get our usual concrete shelter, but we did manage a picnic table so it was all good. I also took 30 or 40 photos for my photo essay due later this week. I need to narrow it down to between 7 and 11 and then edit and 'shop them together by Thursday. Since the theme is 'History of Sydney Waterways' and there are some seriously awesome rocks at Shelly, I might go with 'Erosion'.

A couple from the set I shot )

The drive up the mountain range was quite plesant, although the single-lane winding roads at 80kph were a little more interesting after it got dark... we got to the show and found our group just in time to unload the car and be served dinner. Hurrah! Met some of the Battery guys, played Napoleonic trivia (we came 3rd out of 4 teams... the first two got prizes, and [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall's team did so badly they had to be recognised in front of the whole ANA... and we got nothing :p), Adam went off to bed and I stayed up until after midnight talking to [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall and Andrew and Garth who I used to do 15thC swiss with. Slept surprisingly well considering I was only on a pallet made from a couple of blankets and got up at the luxurious time of 7am. Found [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall (he, Dee and Gene had stayed in a cabin offsite, luxury!) to borrow a needle and thread as I had ripped my pants the night before (where the fall-front attaches). Costume malfunction resolved, it was time to drill the cannon. There are 4 men to the cannon, each with their own duties. We rotated and drilled through each position 4 times so that we all knew who was responsible for what and coule keep an eye on one another. However my main job for the day was loading charges. Adam was on a different cannon, but he too ended up in the same position.

We had two battles, one at 11:30 and one at 2. They were great fun. We were short on powder for the first but we coped, but we made up for it the second battle. We had 5 extra shots to we ended up double shotting a couple of times for extra bang for your buck, and even triple shotted the very last one as we had 3 charges left and only time for one bang. I even got to fire the cannon once, boom! :D We got to run the guns out on to the field and reposition it as the french forces moved and all that, hold fire while our own troops marched across, and 'kill' a cheeky frog bastard who had wandered away from his own line and was threatening to drop his breeches. There were also some pyrotechnics to replicate falling shells from the opposing cannon.

The only decent photo I have of the weekend )

I should mention that it was fucking FREEZING. The actual temp varied between 6 and 13*C over the course of the day, however there were 50kmph+ winds, very little cover and showers on and off all day, sometimes with an edge of sleet in it which made the apparent temp somewhere around 2*C. There's a reason those little jackets are called bumfreezers, they stop right above the bellybutton. They called for snow and hail all day but thankfully it held off, although quite a few tents got damaged in the howling winds. We hung around after the show and packed up the tent we had borrowed, then helped the Battery move their gear into a locker room as they weren't leaving until today. Stupid winds meant that I got hit in the face by a flying METAL CAMP BED. No fair either, it hurt a hell of a lot more then the stupid ant bite last fortnight and I had nothing to show for it, just a tiny cut inside my lip where it hit my teeth. The invisible bruise still bloody hurts *sulk*

Anyhow, we hung around and went for dinner at the local RSL Workman's Club with the Battery and also [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall and co which was fabulous. Sure, we had to drive the whole way home in the dark and didn't get home until very late, but it was great to have a chance to actually talk with people, and have a nice hot meal and let my fingers thaw out a bit before we had to drive home. Once we gort there it was straight into a hot showr and bed, ahh.

Oh, and John also gave us a thank-you gift: a small, hand-cast pewter cannon made by one of the group's members. It's SO COOL. The wheels spin around and everything, and it's bloody heavy. It's about 5 inches long including the cannon frame, I still need to take a photo of it. Dee got some photos of us actually loading the cannons during the battle so hopefully I'll post those sometime soon too.

Today I bought a new computer chair, and finally finished my Report of Dooooooom for class tomorrow. That leaves the photo essay and HG Wells for Thursday and Friday respectively. Fingers crossed for me...

My dear, what big teeth you have

Didn't get any writing done yesterday. First there was the sleeping, then the waiting around as Adam dithered about the house before I drove him to the bike shop to pick up the wheel he dropped off a few days ago (he cracked a spoke or two getting out of the way of a stupid bitch in an SUV last week... the shop called at 9 to say it was ready and we didn't leave until 11). Then on to Burwood so I could grocery shop while Adam finally went to the RTA to renew his license as it expired 2 months ago and obviously nagging has only just reached critical mass. Only for him to be told it involves faxing shit to Qld and back and it will take days to process. WTF? They did mine on the spot! It required a little dicking around, but they did it no worries. And why fax, why can't they fucking PHONE Qld Transport? Argh. So once again I'm doing all the driving this weekend (30km south to Cronulla and back, then 2-3h west up the mountain range to Lithgow). Not that I mind driving, it's just nice to have the option. Plus Adam is a terrible navigator :p

However I did manage to find a few fabulous journal articles yesterday, so that's something at least. I printed a bunch of the ones I haven't read yet and I'm taking them with me, along with my books and a copy of my essay plan and I'm hoping to do some work on that over the weekend. I also finished my pants last night while watching Castle which is HILARIOUS (Nathan Fillion as an arrogant, self-absorbed crime author FTW!!), then cooked dinner etc during the first two episodes of Merlin which was also pretty cool.

Anyhow... Jess is going to be here in about half an hour, she and Adam are going to ride their bikes to Cronulla for Anarchy, and Jake and I will drive and meet them and [livejournal.com profile] jb_rulztheworld there. Some BBQ, a beer or two, some good company, I take a bunch of photos of the ocean for my photo essay... then home to drop Adam's bike back and pick up all our stuff for Lithgow and off we go again. Jake is getting the train home with Jess.

And then Ironfest tonight/ tomorrow. Hang out with [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall and Dee AGAIN, meet Sandham's Battery, play with cannons, catch up with some folks then home again. Hooray!

Lest We Forget. Those who have fallen. Those who have lost. Those who made this country proud. You are remembered.

Don't think I'm wasting your time, this is not a drama piece, I'm not here to tell you lies

Came third at trivia tonight, won a bottle of wine. We ended up with a team of 9 which is pretty impressive, we normally only have 5 or 6.

It's rained every day for the last week and a bit. The tents are still up in the yard and soaked through. There will be large dead patches of lawn shortly :(

Still working on this fucking report. I'm about halway through which is something at least, but after 2 days I was hoping to be done and on to the next essay by now. Humph. If I'm not finished by tomorrow afternoon I'm going to move on and hope inspiration strikes once I'm thinking about something else.

Trivia also means no no progress on the trousers thus far. I'm not going to do pockets this time so that should cut some of the finicky out, fingers crossed I'll knock a decent amount over after dinner tomorrow.

Bed time. Brain is broke.

Since when did I become a perfectionist?

Fucking fucking fuck. My fall-front trousers don't fit. Well they do, but they're rather tight around the thighs which means 1) you can see my womanly figure and 2) if I have to do anything that involves sitting or squatting, I have a very good chance that I'll rip a seam by the end of the day. Some of the seams are already a little iffy as the linen I used had a fairly loose weave, which is one of the reasons I haven't worn them in well over a year. Anyway, this means I have 3 days to write 2 essays and make a new pair. I fucking HATED making the last ones, so bloody finicky and they took forever. Grrr. Although at least I know the waistline is high enough, I tried them on with my artillery jacket and it was fine. And I already have a 2.5m piece of white linen in my stash that should be enough, although really they should be made out of canvas or possibly wool. Fucking McFuck.

ETA: Well that ruined a perfectly good piece of linen, I accidentally cut the exact same fit as the current pair. Ahh well, it should be OK to piece a chemise from, but pieced trousers look weird. Old-cotton-sheet-pants it is *facepalm* I shouldn't sew when I'm angry. And yet I don't seem to fuck up much if I sew when drunk... I'd so much rather be that sort of pissed right now. Maybe I should just go to bed...

One part the Fuhrer, one part the Pope

Regency photos )

Essay is not progressing fast enough. In fact, I'm not sure if it's progressing at all. Bah! And my hair is shitting me to tears. I've been due for a haircut for the last 2 or 3 weeks but I haven't had the time (or the funds) to go get one. Split ends everywhere and I've been banned from playing with scissors or clippers. Bond's come back from the old house so I can now afford to go get it (and also get my scripts from the chemist if I can ever find the fuckers now), but I have stupid assignments to do. My red bits have all faded out to nothing too, but I need natural-looking hair for this weekend (or so much as I can look natural anyway) so I can't re-dye them. Phooey.

While I was in Canberra over the weekend I must admit, I had to stop and think when I saw the signs on the highway... Melbourne is only another 600km down the road. I miss my Melbourne ladies something fierce, it's hard to believe it's been 6 months already since I was down there last. Feel like yesterday, feels like forever.

I'd just like to clarify that you actually undertand the concept of mime

WTF? We dropped in to Target this afternoon to get Adam some new long pants for winter and I ended up with a copy of Enchanted... I blame [livejournal.com profile] last_chael and [livejournal.com profile] chastangela. But I also got a copy of the so-awful-its-awesome National Treasure 2 so it's all good.

I also bought my wedding band. I dragged Adam to a jeweller to show him one I'd seen a while back and he thought it was nice also and we told the woman behind the counter we'd think about it. Then we went to Target, and there was a Prouds right next door so I ducked in to see what they had and yay. It was rather an impulse buy, but I think it's perfect. Now I have to wait a week while it's resized, and then another 2 months before I can wear it. But it's shiiiiiiny... on the other hand, I've managed to resist the temptation to wear my FUCKING AWESOME purple shoes for almost 6 months... I get to break them in soon though, yay! And I finally sent off the invite stuff to the graphic designer this afternoon, so fingers crossed that all gets underway soon.

So yes, home from Canberra... I had an excellent weekend with wonderful company. I also got a rather insane amount of sewing done, some of it was even mine. Helped Dee finish her Regency dress and made her a reticule and stays (and did her hair for the ball, yay), modded Adam's sailor jacket to match the artillery ones (added cuffs, changed the neckline, added a collar, shortened the hem) and made him a hat, and yesterday I made two regency washerwoman skirts (one for Dee, one for Gene) for next weekend. Fingers crossed my sailors pants still fit me and I'm pretty much sorted for Ironfest. Which is handy because I have far too much uni work to do between now and then :( Besides, I'm kind of all sewn out... although on the other hand I have a serious urge to make more stuff. Partly because of that 'satisfaction of a job well done' feeling after the weekend that I want to replicate, and partly because sewing it better than essays :p

I love those moments, I like to wave as them as they pass by

On Wednesday [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall was called to Sydney for an emergency meeting, so he crashed the night at our place and joined us at trivia where we tied first. Hooray!

Thursday morning I got another shift at work, this time sitting in the warehouse counting leaflets and posters and bundling them into job lots. Not especially exciting work, but it was easy and I had my mp3 player and good company. Plus for a good hour of it I got to stare at Daniel Craig as one lot of leaflets was promo material for his next movie. Mmmm...

Then home to pack a bag of clothes and a bigger bag of fabric and back onto the road down to Canberra. [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall and Dee are off to the Jane Austen Ball tonight and I offered to babysit, and Dee still hasn't finished her regency kit *facepalm* Yesterday I whipped her up a set of short stays just like mine (I even managed to handsew all 24 of the eyelets before the end of 'Pride and Prejudice') and made some covered buttons to close her dress. This morning it was more bloody eyelets as I made her a reticule for her wallet/ camera/ etc tonight. Right now we've resewn the sleeves on her dress (they got botched and removed multiple times over the course of the week before I arrived) and I've attached the buttons, now it just needs buttonholes and the bodice lining tacked down and we're finally done, phew! My fingers are blistered and filled with needle holes, and I haven't actually done any of MY kit yet for next weekend :p

I've also been trying to do some reading for uni, although there has been no actual essay progress as yet. Bad Jess.

There has been the tiniest bit of wedding progress though. Cake is now sorted, I have all the shit to send to the printers for the invites (although I haven't sent it yet as I still need to compile it into a useable format, but I have rung my aunt and uncle and apologised for the delay and confirmed that it's all still OK for them to do them for me), and the mother-in-law is trying to make us have a bagpiper, or possibly an entire bloody pipe band *sigh* Apparently the fact that Adam is wearing a kilt means that we're having an entirely scottish/ celtic wedding, which was not our intention at all. Adam just wants a kilt *L*

If you're random and you know it, prod a llama

Epic photo post is epic )

Had a chiro appointment today, she's happy with my progress and I'm down to fortnightly visits, woot! I also went to Just Remnants and got free fabric, huzzah! I got a bunch of remnants (surprise!) ranging from 0.5-2m in some gorgeous satins and silk dupion, it came to $19.80 and I had a $20 voucher... also had a great conversation with the chick behind the counter about fabric and camping, we always have a long chat when I go in there although I'm pretty sure she doesn't remember me.

It's also pissed down rain all yesterday so the tents are no longer dry. Then they were getting close to the point where we could take them down again this afternoon when a massive thunderstorm hit. Although Jake didn't zip the door up when he put his up on Sunday and the inside filled with water *facepalm* Boys are useless Alec Baldwin!

Got my first mark of the year back- a Credit+ for the sound assignment. Fuck yeah! Apparently we were very close to a Distinction, but the sound quality let us down (static and volume changes etc), however since we were recording in a pub and also with a PA system they admit we did damn well and our mixing was great, our chosen topic was interesting and our narrative was very strong. Hip hip huzzah! Personally I think the 'static' she heard was to do with the fact that we had to compress to an mp3 and possibly to do with the speakers they used as it sounded way clearer on my computer than on the uni projecter. Ahh well.

Now I just need to get motivated to start my next 3 essays due in a fortnight *sigh*

There was this rubber glove right, and some shampoo...

Camping was gooooooood. Although it turns out we seriuosly suck at convoying. Everyone met here at 7:30 Friday morning and within about 5 minutes we'd lost 2 of the 5 cars after we got split at a set of lights and the two front cars (Tracy and [livejournal.com profile] samuel_sock) pulled into a petrol station for ice and such and we were in the wrong lane (apparently Tracy had told Adam of this plan, but since I was the one driving...), then we lost [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall at the toll as he paid cash and both Jess and I have electronic ones, and at the time Adam and I were having a rather heated discussion so I didn't realise he wasn't behind us anymore until it was too late. Then we missed our exit because Adam was too busy looking at the sigh for Maccas instead of the map (stupid merging cars had come between us and Jess and Luc so I didn't see them on the turn off until we were past it, d'oh!) so suddenly we were on our own... almost missed the next exit too as Adam hadn't checked the map but this time I decided it was better to get off and get back on then have to turn around again and lo and behold, there's Sam and Tracy at the next set of lights! Apparently Sam was getting rather fucked off after a while that this dickhead in the silver Astra was following him *LOL*

Anyhow, we found the campsite well-enough (I left Adam on the side of the road to flag down Luc and Jess, and [livejournal.com profile] knightsmarshall as he was camping elsewhere further up the road, but he had kindly giving Jake a lift for us as we could not fit 3 people and all our stuff in my tiny car :( We could have juuust managed it on the way home after all the firewood was burnt, the food eaten and the beer drunk but instead he rode home with Luc and Jess and I got to see out of the rear window this time! Woot). Dumped all the shit out of my car and went to fetch the boys from the roadside. We got there early enough to score a pretty nice spot with bush on one side for privacy and a small sheltered picnic table.

We did some fishing (Tracy landed a small bream which we ate that night, and we went back after dark and Jake almost landed a big carp but it was too heavy for the line and it broke free just before we could grab it by hand), however there were a lot of boats and waterskiiers during the day which wasn't so fun, and some drunken bogan dickheads at night who were equal amounts of entertaining and annoying. Drank some beer, played some cards, sat around the fire and talked shit and generally had a great time. Jess, Jake and I had all taken uni work to do (and I also had some sewing) but we had too much fun and never got around to it.

We also managed to get away for the entire weekend with only two injuries, both of them mine (although Sam did come close to nadding himself with a fish hook). I was woken rather unplesantly yesterday morning by a fucking huge jumping ant (?? well it was a inch long and a shiny blue-black colour and it jumped) attached to my lip. I managed to pull it off and squish it but it stung like a bitch for an hour and my lip swelled up like a scary pink balloon and there were many Elephant Man jokes made. Thankfully Sam had some antihistimines which put it back down into a mere fat lip. I walked into a door kids. It's still swollen, I'm hoping it won't get any bigger when the drugs wear off tonight again. I also have a big bruise on the side of my head where Jake cracked me with a sledgehammer handle which I was teaching him sword drill yesterday. Owwies, but no blood. I haven't fought in probably close to a year, my technique is a little sloppy but not as bad as I feared although my right wrist/ forearm is achey as fuck today because it's not used to the motion. My shoulders are surprisingly good though, even after that and splitting 100kg of firewood and all the carrying and packing. Maybe I am actually getting fitter after all.

Anyway, the tents are now up in the yard to dry as it rained overnight, the car is mostly empty and I'm slowly washing the mud and woodsmoke out of the clothes and bedding. Can't wait to do it again...

If you fade out it seems like more time has passed in a montage

Ugh I'm awaaaaaaaake. I only went to bed at midnight :( Been trying to go back to sleep since about 4 but my brain just won't shut up! Plotting all the things I need to do this afternoon once I get home from uni (shop for food+booze+ice+dinner tonight, pack car, freeze meat, chop wood for kindling, sand and re-season my pots, Robbie is coming over for coffee because I haven't seen him for a whole YEAR because he's slack constantly busy...) I keep thinking of MORE things to pack for camping- I have no idea how I'm going to fit all this shit in as it is. And of course there's all the uni work I need to do over the next couple of weeks, and the sewing... bah.

I want to be asleep damnit. I want my sniffle to go away. And of course, we have to be up early tomorrow... but I think I'm awake for good so I may as well have a coffee.

Shpadoinkle

I'm fucking exhausted. I spent 4 hours today dancing in my own personal sauna. OK, so it was more like 3h as every 30-40 minutes I had to take a 10-15 minute break to take my bunny head off and drink a litre or two of water as those suits are freaking HOT. My brain was dribbling out my ears, I actually forgot my hat and my water bottle at the store after my shift was over. Ahh well, it was fun though, I got heaps of hugs and people taking photos with me, I made some small children cry and some stupid STUPID woman actually got me to hold her baby for a photo. Other then the fact that she gave her kid to some random person in a fursuit, I could not see a fucking thing so I had no idea if my hand was over its face or anything, and when I was trying to give it back I didn't know if it was safe to let go or if I was going to drop the baby because she didn't speak any bloody english. Ahh well, I did have fun though, despite having to change clothes afterwards because I was literally socked in sweat. Urk.

Then it was to the library for some assignment research, then the doctor for my second Gardasil jab (ow), then to the pub for trivia. I was there super-early so I decided that rather then sitting there on my own like a loser, I went and hung out at Tracy's place for a while (normally I'd just read in the pub, but it was over an hour to wait and the lighting was shit). We came second, woot!

Oh, and we also made an emergency dash to Kmart to buy Adam some lights for his bike as he had to ride home in the dark tonight. We went to Rebel sport first as they supposedly had front and back lights on special for $10ea, but they were sold out, so we found a set with a trip computer in Kmart for $50 which was more then I wanted to spend, but it was the only one they had and he needed them NOW. So we got the batteries and went to the register and bought it... somehow they scanned it at $6, so with batteries it was like $15!! Fuck yeah, finally some good news.

Great party, where's Timmy? He's smoking crack with Billy

Bunny suit, as promised )

I had to go pick up the bunny suit from the costume shop rather then the office which meant I had to drive into the bloody city and try to find parking and the woman who served me was USELESS and claimed the order didn't exist and if I wanted to make a new booking and pay for it myself I was welcome to do so, although of course since it's Easter this weekend the only bunny suit they had left look liked it died 15 years ago from mixamytosis. Eeww.

I'm also sniffly again thanks nto the sudden temperature drop. Crap. I can NOT be sick this weekend damnit.

And in good news, a random Facebook status comment resulted in a girl I know from uni coming by today and giving me cashy monies for my saddle. I sold my horse 8 years ago and I have no intention of having another one for a very long time (as sad as that makes me, I miss riding so much), and I've been hauling that saddle around the country because I didn't really want to admit that I can no longer afford a pony. Ahh well, I know it's gone to a good home, I have a couple of hundred bucks in my pocket and a little more room in the laundry, and Emma got a good deal too. Hooray! Now to get around to photographing and posting the box of clothes and stuff I've been meaning to sell for the last 6+ months.
